Our first forum will take place next week. Attached is the programme.
The Exeter-Shanghai Forum on the Middle East is a new initiative that seeks to bring different perspectives on the study of the region into conversation across the humanities and social sciences and even beyond the confines of particular disciplines. It seeks to inform debates and take the field into new directions and approaches. This first forum will be held on 13 and 14 December 2023 online but future fora will take place annually alternating between Exeter and Shanghai in person. The fruits of these meetings will be in cutting edge publications in the area that will bring together the best of research conducted in China and the UK.
